Audio Clicking

When the LP is plugged into my speakers it creates a loud click every time a sound is played and then a minute or two after it stops

There seems to be a power saving setting that I cannot find that turns off the audio chip/driver when not needed but its making my LP useless for the audio playing system its intended for.

Any advice would be appreciated please.
