@filipejsbrandao
Thank you so much for your efforts.
The missing pins of the connectors match the pins marked with "X" on the overview drawings.
In terms of dimensions they are still 50pin connectors. Actually I need the exact position of the first pin, not the housing dimensions, but for now that's enough. I'm also waiting for some answers from LattePanda before I can start with the circuit of the expansion board.
I can't say anything about the new connector either. Unfortunately I can't see the label on the 8 pin IC directly above. Let's wait and see what LattePanda has to say.
Once again many thanks for your help.

Many greetings
Lutz

Hello All,
This is a BATTERY CONNECTOR, so that you can use 7.4V(2s) battery to power your Alpha, we will release detailed info and tutorial later.
When we printed the user manual, we still haven't determined whether we can add the interface, so there is a missing information.

Thanks Kevin! I has looking for that info for some time. When that detailed info and tutorial comes out will there be an update for backers? That would be a good way to be notified about this.

Best,

Thank you Kelvin.S for this information !
Really great news !!
That brings me a big step further with my own expansion board...

I've tested that 2-pin power connector. Supply voltage below 10V will not start the LP-Alpha's (Red LED won't lit) and certainly won't power up the board.
I would recommend minimum 10.5V on that power feed to provide a reasonable margin.

I have no clue how a 2S LiPo (max voltage 8.4V fully charged) can be used.
Can LattePanda explain? Are you talking about the white mystery FPC connector as battery connector? (Confused)

Thanks! I just checked it. It is good for my purposes. The only difference I found are the display and touch connectors. Do these connectors vary between lattepanda delta and alpha?

How is that tutorial coming along? I would be really interested about more info of that battery connector, is 7.4V 2S Li-Po battery really enough to power the Alpha? Is the connector 10pin JST XH 2.0mm type or something else? What is the pin layout in it? Because of the 10 pins, I assume there is balance charging included?

Most helpful info would be the exact type of the connector, pin layout and maybe diagram of battery wiring to the Alpha :)
