Thanks in advance.

@lowenski, wow, thanks for your sharing. Let me introduce your creation to our social media guys. Would you like to share your social account via pm to me?

I don't have that many social accounts because of my privacy paranoia.LattePanda wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 2:07 pm@lowenski, wow, thanks for your sharing. Let me introduce your creation to our social media guys. Would you like to share your social account via pm to me?

As requested, see below features and pictures and let me know if this is of any interest to any of you folks. If anyone from the LP Team knows if DFRobot would be interested in carrying this amazing item in their inventory, send me a PM and I’ll be happy to revert back with a quote for the quantity they require. RRP(MSRP): $65
MiniUPS for LattePanda
- Input Voltage: Min 5V ~ Max 14V
- Output Voltage: Max 5V -3Amp
- Battery chemistry: Lithium Polymer (*)
- Number of cell: 1 (one); 3.7V
- PCB Size: 50mm * 55mm
- Color: Black
- Kit includes:
1x MiniUPS
1x Mounting kit (also include 2.54mm JST connectors & Headers)
1x USB cable
1x Solid Model (IGES/STEP)
1x MiniUPS Programmer (w/GUI) (*.exe, windows 7/8/10)
* We do not sell/ship out batteries, any 3.7V LiPo can be used (source locally!)
Main Features:
- UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply)
If the main input power is lost, the device seamlessly switch to battery power. Exact same features as a laptop really!
- 5V Power-On Delay
Occasionally required in specialized installations where boot-up integrity is required. (think iPhone charge design). This power-on delay, and all other features discussed here, can be set by the user using the supplied MiniUPS Programmer (w/GUI). Unit is second (Min: 0 sec / Max: 30sec). Setting this to 0 second automatically cancels this feature, shall you not require it.
- 5V Power-Off Delay
The power-off delay is required in a scenario where the operating system is allowed to carry a fully automated shutdown. We've developed software which can monitor the main input power and programmatically automate a windows shutdown (no more power cut crashes and data loss!). Two options are offered: 1) immediate graceful shutdown after main power loss -OR- 2) when battery reaches a low capacity level similar to a laptop (e.g. 10% remaining charge). Shutdown, Sleep or Hibernation are supported. Unit is second (Min: 0 sec / Max: 199sec).
- Charging Current
Vital! Set maximum charging current allowed for a given LiPo cell capacity. More than often, responsible battery manufacturer spec the charging rate of their batteries. Therefore we've implemented this feature for you to "safely" set the max charging current (or rate) for your given battery. If done right, you'll want to ensure that the battery you plan on purchasing has an official record (e.g. mfg datasheet) for charging and discharging rates. Unit is millivolt (Min: 100mV / Max: 3000mV)
- Battery scenario: General Brand, Lithium Polymer, 1 cell, 3.7V, 3000mah
Charging rate: 1C (3000mV, Fast charge) or 0.5C (1500mV/regular charge).
^ Ensure the manufacturer approves 'fast charge' rate.
- Maximum Charge Voltage
A typical LiPo battery cell is fully charged when it reaches 4.2V. However, researchers have concluded that reducing the charge voltage by 0.1V can/will ‘double’ the life of a LiPo cell. We have included this feature so that you can set the maximum charge. We recommend users to set this at 4.1V for extended battery life (x2). If maximum battery performance is required (e.g racing, RC, etc), this can obviously be set at full 4.2V.
Note: LiPo cell of 4.35V is also supported (need specialized battery cell)
- Minimum Discharge Voltage
This feature set the lowest voltage the LiPo battery can go. When reached everything goes in sleep-mode. This greatly eliminates the risk of having a LiPo cell getting damaged by low voltage. We recommend setting this at 3.2V. If you need to put your device/battery in storage for a long period of time, simply set to 3.7V. Unit is volt (Min: 2.5V / Max: 3.7V)
Visual Studio 2017 Source Code (C#)
Source code is made available to our customers upon request and at no extra charge. Some of the examples we currently have include:
- Configuration GUI (App to set all of the above features/values)
- Battery/Voltage Power Monitoring (e.g. taskbar graphical battery/ico)
- Windows Background Service (E.g service that perform a graceful windows shutdown)
- Input ON/OFF (5V~14V) monitoring (e.g. Charging or discharging)
- Output ON/OFF (5V) Manual Override (to power ON/OFF devices e.g. remotely)
I MUST HAVE IT!!!!

I'm working on a case/dock for easy plug and play projects. Or For just simple desktop users. I also have my lattepanda alpha tri-booted windows/mac/linux with recovery boot drive and os installs on main board. I have backup drivers so I have them if anyone needs them in an self executable file.
