Try without that eDP LCD glass but just the regular external HDMI monitor and see if the symptom persists.

LPA works fine without the monitor attached. Got to use it with hdmi just fine. (glad I averted it being completely dead. It really just took learning how to use the supplied PSU)

Does anyone else have this issue with a monitor attached? Do you just mainly use DC power vs USB-C?

Theoretically speaking, Alpha and Delta's Intel CPU/SoC eDP port can support up to 3840x2160 @ 60Hz resolution (note this is interface spec only, not actual real life, say gaming, performance.)
Naturally, one has to select the right type of eDP glass (at least, 30pin, eDP, etc. etc.) to achieve such high resolution (4K UHD.)

BTW, at 17.3 inch, the 4K resolution, in its finest details will be a challenge for bare eyes.

hello,

how can I resolve the compatibility issue you mentioned below. I have the old generation 7 "LCD and I want to use it.
What can be the solution?

"MIPI display designed for LattePanda 1st genernation is not compatible with eDP display connector designed on Alpha and Delta. This compatibility issue is caused by different CPU architecture and positioning."

MISI-DSI is orange (older gen) while eDP is apple (newer gen.)
(Think DDR3 vs DDR4 analogy...)

For LPA, buying an eDP LCD panel is "the" way.
