External power button

I will be mounting the Alpha 864 into an arcade cabinet, so therefore want to ensure with a toggle switch I can turn the SBC on / off with ease.
I will likely be using Ubuntu 18.10. On toggling to the off position, can I assume the SBC will gracefully shutdown?
