I just wanted to know if there will be an official Android build for Lattepanda and if there is an approximate ETA for it's release.
Can we hope to get it till the end of this year?
It really depends on your requirement and usage! If you need an Android support for entertainment, I think we don't have clear schedule plan for that yet. Because we need to figure out the x86 to Android application compatibility issues. If you need the Android support only for development, I think we can leak the internal version to you first and you can suggest and give some feedbacks to us. And we can work out step by step together! What do you think?

Actually for me both use cases are actual. I was going to use android both for entertainment and development in the scope of the same project.
By the way if I'm correct the original Up Board shares almost the same hardware. The CPU is the same at least. They seem to have official support for Android. A little bit of hocus-pocus corporate spying would be handy :-) LOL

Hey there Lattepanda Team!
Is there any progress on official Android rom for Lattepanda??
I guess many people are eager to see lattepanda boards running Android 7 or 8.
Currently the Android x86 project runs poorly on the board with no bluetooth support and problems with audio and apps.
It would be great if we had updates on the Android rom development progress, because we still don't know if there will be an official build for Lattepanda at all. There have been several posts saying that some development is being done. Those posts give us hope to see Android on LP but we haven't head anything for quire a long time.
