I would like to build a UWP app as per the DOCS and the reason I bought the LP in the first place. Unfortunately, as you know from the forum posts, this is not possible. Any chance of an update? I don't particularly want to go back to coding for Winforms/WPF if there is a solution on the horizon.

I'm using my LP as a mediacenter which is connected to my TV. So basically to watch movies and films an it (mostly with VLC) or YouTube videos and such things.

And I also have some stuff running on it that I need for the tools I created for the browser game Illyriad (eg I have a PostgreSQL database running on the LP which is used to search for settlement spots in that game). And also the LP updates the database running on my website with new data.

We are aware of this, apologies for the lack of response but there is a bit of a language barrier in the team so the forum hasnt been as responsive as it should have been. We are restructuring management of the forum and working on a solution to the UWP app problem and expect an updated version will be up very soon. Thank you for your interest, and your patience.

I'm an IT professional. I work in the data protection sector (or Backup to make it simple :) ).

So far I have no issues. 1080p YouTube works fine, no problems with watching videos on other websites (EG Amazon Prime, gamestar.de, winfuture.de, ...) either. So HTML5 videos, Flash and Silverlight videos are all running fine.
VLC also runs smoothly playing 1080p videos. I only had one issue there that I fixed by buying a better AC adapter. I had a 2Amps Adapter from my Samsung Galay S5 which was fine for the most part. It looks like that the normal Desktop-Version of VLC spikes to more than 2 Amps when playing specific videos (eg the 1080p ones from horriblesubs.info) and the LP shutdown. Now I have a 3Amps AC adapter ans the issue is gone. The Windows Store VLC version didn't have this problem, however. But the Windows Store VLC is awkward to use on my opinion...

No issues either with the database stuff and scripts I have running there. I downloaded PostgreSQL and Strawberry Perl, installed them, and they're working. Well, it's Windows, so that's to be expected :)

The only issue was with cooling, but you're aware of this. :)
I bought a bunch of cheap heatpipes on eBay and this fan: https://www.conrad.de/de/axialluefter-5 ... 89487.html
It usually runs at around 40°C now.

My idea is pretty simple, I want to use the latte panda to make a small portable computer i plan to use a 5" screen but I'm waiting for the latte panda team to make diffrent sized screens. The battery I am planning to use is 4 3.7v 5000mah batteries about the size of AA's so it will be easy to carry extra so you don't haft to recharge every 4 hours. I plan to 3D print a case once I get all the parts I need. P

I am planning to get LP to build a jenkins server which have to handle 10-20 jobs simultaneously and act as a load balancer.
Will it be possible to achieve this?

I would like to read out Dallas Maxim Temperatursensors 18S20. Has anyone done it via Ardunio-Board? Cool could be an example on Docs-Section ...

Any batteries about the size of AAs claiming to be 5000mAh are likely falsely labeled. Heck i have some AAAs that say 1800mAh (they're actually closer to 180mAh)

That bright orange thing under the ribbon cable, is a 3.7v 4000mAh battery.
18650 li-ion cells are a good chunk larger than an AA battery, and usually top out at 2500mAh.
here's an example and those are high end cells

We are team of Engineers and we are trying to make LP all in one computer for people who do not need the i5 or i7 computer , based on our design the final product will consume almost 29 watts so it will be a saver for the company we are designing for , We are in Africa and Electricity cost quite a bit so using LP to make all in one computer will save our institutions who do not need any powerful computer for thier day to day task almost 90% of cost of production and we also wanted to know if we can chose to boot from an external hard drive , the project is quite huge , So any idea would be very much welcomed, thanks
