Hey guys, I saw this on the EEVBlog and immediately thought this would make for a nice, inexpensive pfsense router if only it had more than one ethernet port...
Would you guys at some point consider making an alternate or upgraded model with dual gigabit ports?

-Gigabit lan
-another 3.0 port
-better mounting spot for fan
-ability to control fan with LP
-different screen connectors
-a bit faster processor such as 2ghz
-128 gb of on board storage

Hi LP Team!

First of all thanks for making the first SBC x86 with Arduino.
We need it for run our programs in C# on Windows (no IoT).

For us, the LP v2 need those improvements to be a kick-ass SBC
(CPU, RAM & eMMC its ok)

- Backplate heaksink (not a flat backplate)
We use a 30x30mm heatsink attached to the backplate.

- RTC incorporated in the board plus the connector to plug a backup battery (CR2032 3v)

- BIOS - Fan control (5v fans)

(I will edit this post including more improvements)

I don't have the board yet but from what I have read/seen by now:

Faster onboard storage, power input connector like a Molex or TE board connector that is easily found, faster dual antenna WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, faster MicroSD connection and 64-bit Windows since the CPU is capable.

You could use a USB3 Ethernet adapter

I agree with most of the previous post above, but one of the bigger things is the arduino header while it is there for the most part make it use the arduino standard shields, or an adapter board would help greatly.

1)

The Networking Ethernet Port on the newest lattepanda support: 10/100 Mbps, but support for 10/100/1000 Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet) would be very useful for my team, because we are using this lattepanda as mail server and we and have 1gb internet speed so we need to take advantage of it. Banana Pi already support gigabit ethernet) as example, but we want to use this board.

2)

Images for Windows 8.1 Pro would be very useful. We are using Windows 8.1 Pro for all our system so we hope that we can get image to install it into the board .

Thank you very much and i hope you will consider and implant the 2 features above, because me and my team really need it...

1. I would like to see a different connector for the LCD and touchscreen interface. I got the LCD cable connected OK but the latch on the touchscreen interface broke off. It is in a very bad location to try to repair. It seems to be pretty flimsily made. A more robust connector/latch would be great.
2. It would be nice to have the com port allocations resolved. Having a com port show up in a list from enumeration only to be reallocated later causes many problems if trying to encode a com port for a loaded program.

1. real Arduino compatible pins layout, add complexity of PCB layout, Great advantage for shields comparability.
2. X265 hardware decode
3. HDMI CEC (not sure if it already there on V1)

I've used LP as a Desktop PC.
Here is my wish list for the next release:

1)Arduino Leonardo with the standard pin-out
2)Battery CMOS embedded
3)Fan manageable from the BIOS
4)BIOS auto-recovery
5)Auto Power ON manageable from the BIOS
6)PXE and Wake on Lan
7)Modem GSM with SIM card slot (for industrial usage is needed)
8)PCI-e slot (for future expansions)
9)E-mmc not soldered
10)Others USB port
11)An industrial COM port
12)Gigabit Ethernet
13) At least 8GB of RAM
14)Best Heatsink embedded
