Removing rtc battery does nothing on a delta as the settings aren't battery backed

No light shining usually indicates no power, which means probably faulty hardware

I'd much rather use SMA connector based antenna than the film antenna that came presupposed and lead to awful WiFi performance in my experience.

Very interesting, my only major suggestions would be to provide access to the Arduino gpio and also add a way to affix WiFi antenna

As I did before. You've also so catastrophically damaged the diode next to it that it's blown clear off the pads. Which in turn means you have probably damaged many other components. I've run my Delta from a car battery fine. Just two things to watch for, don't connect it to a *running* vehicle as they get huge amounts of over voltage spikes, sometimes over 100V. Also, polarity.
