Re: Bittorrent Hosting LattePanda Files

I guess they created the torrent and didn't even seed.
Torrent only works if someone seeds.

Can you boot windows from external HDD?

I've recently had an SSD drive die in my laptop, which is just over a year old with not too much usage. This event caused me to think about what I'll do when the storage in the LP dies. I thought, well easy...just image the drive over to an external USB HDD and I can boot from that, just like every ...

Re: LattePanda cooling mod

Can you try running prime95 and Furmark at the same time for 15minutes and post the max temp.

Re: Simple case for LattePanda

The design should be modified to include vents on the bottom since this is where the CPU is located.
It would overheat really fast in this case.

Re: Fit to 32" Screen

On my 55" screen I was able to set the LP to 1080P however it didn't fit the screen correctly.
Use your TV/Screen settings to 'fit to screen' for the picture size. Then play some video to check that the aspect ratio hasn't been screwed up.

Re: Terrible overheating problems

Yes the cooling solution simply isn't good enough out of the box. If you look at tablets that use the same CPU, they use the entire backing of the unit as the heatsink so they function much better. If you are lucky to live somewhere that has ambient temps of 20c or less at all times then you should ...

Re: Terrible overheating problems

This device does need better cooling. If you use 30%+ cpu usages most of the time (web browsing...most media playback...) then the included 'cooling solution' simply isn't good enough. At the very least have a small fan blow on to the bottom of the board (where the cpu/gpu are located). Mine used to...

Re: Eclipse on lattepanda

The slow down may be caused by the CPU throttling.

Check the cpu speed using something like CPUZ or HWMonitor.

If this is the case then you will need to supply better cooling, or maybe this program is simply too much for the LP...it is a low power cpu after all.

Re: Only one USB charger works for my LattePanda

TBH I wouldn't have expected any USB hubs even if powered to be good enough or reliable enough.

Also take note that you can have a good power supply but crappy cable and it won't work.
I had to go through all my micro usb cables to find one that wouldn't reboot itself.
