Re: Lattepanda case Installation tutorial (Acrylic&Plywood)
thanks for the tutorial. I've got the acrylic case and the parts definitely DO NOT stick together by applying pressure as in the video. It will need some glue.

Re: CPU speed
Hi, Couldn't wait so I felt brave and played with the settings myself ;) I managed to have all the CPU's maxed out but still noticed that when playing a video using a GPU-assisted renderer (madVR) the CPU's were dropping to minimum speed. It turned out that the Cherry Trail has a power target shared...

Re: Windows 10 anniversary update
Windows keeps the previous version of Windows when upgrading - the anniversary upgrade is a full OS upgrade as you were moving from, say, Windows 7 to Windows 10. The disk cleanup should have the 'previous windows versions' checkbox available, which I guess you can remove after confirming that the n...

CPU speed
Hi all
Is there a way to force the CPU to work at maximum speed all the time? I guess it may be in the BIOS but there are UMPTEEN options in there and I don't want to mess with it considering there is no easy way to reset it.
Thanks
Tony

Re: High Performance Power Plan
Hi Parker I don't understand. Once the Panda has been actively cooled, it does not reach 80+ degrees and does not throttle anymore. What's the point of tweaking the registry then? I feel that if the CPU reaches 80+ degrees, I want it to slow down to prevent damage regardless! I thought it was a CPU ...

Re: Windows 10 anniversary update
I am aware that Windows Defender is the worst antivirus ever but to be honest I installed Avast on my brother's PC and he caught a virus (avast was not protecting from emails apparently). Moved to Windows Security essentials and that never happened again! If my brother can use it...

Re: Windows 10 anniversary update
Yay! :) Well done! Anti-virus are often worse than viruses. I've been using Windows Defender for many years now, I know it's not the best one but never had an issue. If you are computer-savvy, a basic AV is all you need. Back in topic, did you also have to reset tablet mode to desktop mode - or do y...

Re: Windows 10 anniversary update
I may be on the wrong end of the stick but that error seems to apply to something that doesn't apply to your system - and the file name mentions windows 1607 which - if not mistaken - you do not have yet?

Re: Windows 10 anniversary update
I'm using the LP as a media player, mobility is not required :) Sorry for being a pessimist here but I really doubt that removing the battery can help! It seems that Microsoft is updating the installation program to tackle all the various issues. As you noticed MS has taken a slow pace with the upda...

Re: Windows 10 anniversary update
My bandwidth requirements are quite high so I am wired. I believe I noticed the onboard wifi was not very good but only tried for a few minutes before giving up
