Re: lattePanda in car

Ok, I found the solution: DCDC- NUC + step down regulator. In the meanwhile I started the project here: http://imgur.com/a/FRXCO As you can see i'm using a head unit chassis. The LP display and touch panel fits perfectly inside the original frame :) I read about heatsink problems. Can the LP work wi...

Re: lattePanda in car

I found this device here: http://www.mini-box.com/DCDC-USB?sc=8&category=981 The DCDC-USB can be programmed to output 5V but it can't send shutdown signals via USB. If the mentioned board has On/Off pins you can use the Automotive mode of the DCDC-USB via which it will send On/Off signals. Does the ...

If you update the BIOS with the "auto-boot" version you could power the LP from the ignition source and it would boot when you turned the key to accessory/run. However, you would need to be careful about a brown-out condition while the starter was engaged. If you turned the key to accessory positio...

Re: lattePanda in car

Do you mean something like this? http://www.ebay.it/itm/DC-DC-CC-CV-Buck-Converter-Step-down-Power-Supply-Module-7-32V-to-0-8-28V-12A-LS-/161944567692?hash=item25b4a5ff8c:g:0Y4AAOSw5dNWlMm5 but it does not handle the shutdown of the machine! I mean, if I switch off the keyswitch of the car, LP will ...

Re: lattePanda in car

Thank you, I never thought about this problem! Another problem is that if I turn off the car, the LP will not shut down properly. I think that shutting down the LP in this way will also corrupt windows. In the meanwhile I also found this raspberry pi module: https://mausberry-circuits.myshopify.com/...

[DISCUSSION] LattePanda in Car

Hi all, I want to install lattePanda in my car and create my own 2 din headunit. I just need if it is possible to power on the board using the ignition switch (+12v). It would be nice to power the board from the battery and use the ignition switch signal instead of the power button. Is it possible ?...
