Most often it is a power issue. Is your power supply 5V with at least 2A? And check the power cable, sometimes the resistance of the cable is too high.
Did you try the LP on a different TV/ monitor?

Have the windows side store stuff on the SD and or use your recorded webcam video or images. Again I don't have my lp ...

Perfect, no need to play with wires and the Arduino side to get that working.

Re: Battery
I can't find support for lips battery mnagement in the documentation.
If it is not on the board itself then maybe you can use a LiPo shield, for example https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13158

Re: Auto start on power on
Hi fsommer1968,
Sorry to hear your LP is bricked. Unfortunately It will take some time for my to receive my LP due to the my pledge and extra's. but as soon as I have one I will figure it out, that will be June at the earliest
. Hopefully someone else will figure it out before that time.

Re: Auto start on power on
I haven't recieved my LP yet, but check your Bios. Otherwise maybe you can use the arduino side to send power up to to Windows or even connect the arduino side (gpio) to the power button
