Re: Video and Touch panel connectors to delicate.

Yeah tbh they should use odroid style emmc connectors, RPi display/camera connectors, or get rid of the sensor connectors and use a 2mm pitch pin header with pin to zif converter cable/board for the displays. This way if it breaks it's a sub $10 fix. Most people don't even use the sensor connectors ...

Re: Can not log in ?

Well after some help from the admins, i was able to reset my password, though i've checked everywhere i could think of and can't figure out how to change it. The "Profiles" page doesn't have anything for me to work with. Can't even change my Signature info or anything like that.

Re: RTC Battery Backup

It's a pretty small team and they're in R&D phases now. The community isn't very big either, which is a shame since the LP is an amazing product.

Re: RTC Battery Backup

Not sure if it wants a rechargeable, i'm just using that generic coin cell and i've had no problems with it. It keeps time well enough. If it is feeding a back current, it's not much since i had my panda on for many hours and the coin cell hasn't bulged or popped. Not sure if they intended it to be ...

Re: RTC Battery Backup

There is a spot where one can be soldered on. But you have to be VERY good at soldering. http://www.lattepanda.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=987 my second post on that thread also has the connector you can get from molex. possibly order a free sample. Though if i were you.. get 5. and the battery i purc...

Re: Can i use the official raspberry pi screen with the with

Could you link the screen? If you mean the RPI's 7" screen, you use HDMI. if you mean the screen that uses the RPI's GPIO pins.. you can't.

Re: Lipo battery

Yes, but not directly. You'll need to use a lipo to 5v boost module if it's a single cell 3.7v, one that can handle 3A (if you use usb devices), and a lipo charging module to charge the battery. If you use more than 1cell lipo packs, then you need a 5v drop down voltage regulator. You can connect th...

Re: USB ports VDD too low.

Using a traditional multi-meter, does the voltage match? Also, what voltage is from the other usb 2.0 port when a drain is placed on the 1st usb 2.0 port. My Desktop PC has two usb 2.0 ports that pull 5v directly from the power supply. (i modified the usb 2.0 ports to use a molex connector to the PS...

Re: Questions before you buy

Yes you can reinstall the OS with a usb drive or SD card. Though with windows 10, you can actually repair corrupt files using windows-repair. (built in) But it might be better to get an uninterrupted power supply. The cool thing about the panda is that it's 5v, so you can get/make one that just does...

Re: Using a 5-inch display

You have to use hdmi. The only screen compatible with the Panda's mipi connector, is the 7" 1024x600 display that is offered by LattePanda. I've been asking for a pinout of the connector to see if i could find other compatible displays, but so far i haven't had any word back from the developers. The...
