Re: Why doesn't the LP include an RTC connector?

According to those specs on the ebay page, it won't work. the pin spacing is..
Pin Spacing: 2.54mm / 0.1"

Which is WAY too big. you need 1.25mm

Re: Why doesn't the LP include an RTC connector?

I do not at this time. Sorry. So long as you get one with the right polarity, you may be able to salvage a connector from an old laptop. That was ALMOST what i was about to do.

Re: e-Paper Windows display via Arduino?

It would be possible, essentially you'd write a program on the PC that connects to the arduino via USB-Serial(as it does), and the program would detect various sensors of the panda, temp etc, or check if X program is running. And then you feed this data over to the arduino. The arduino will have a p...

Re: USB3 speeds SSD --> SSD.

This was using a western digitial blue M.2 B+M 250GB SSD, in a startech usb 3.1 enclosure with UASP. The large file read/writes are great. But the random read and the IOPS are pretty low. 5k-10k IOPS is pretty bad. For games like skyrim or fallout new vegas when using high quality-low res texture pa...

Re: Why doesn't the LP include an RTC connector?

From me personally no. The connector is from Molex and the part number is 0532610271 http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0532610271_PCB_HEADERS.xml You might be able to get free samples, if you do, get extras like 4. As for the battery, this is the exact battery i went with...

Re: Why doesn't the LP include an RTC connector?

Thank you. Those are all really good reasons. There are some vertical RTC connectors that would be better suited if the RTC connector was moved to the top side and shielded by other components, Like hide it behind the Arduino pin header. I haven't a clue where i got the mini 5v blower fan from. it's...

Why doesn't the LP include an RTC connector?

I can understand not including the RTC battery itself, it is a bit optional for many people. But why not include the connector itself? I installed an RTC connector and battery and it's working great. It remembers the time and other stuff even between full power cycles (disconnected power), even when...

-snip-t o use is 4 3.7v 5000mah batteries about the size of AA's -snip- Any batteries about the size of AAs claiming to be 5000mAh are likely falsely labeled. Heck i have some AAAs that say 1800mAh (they're actually closer to 180mAh) http://i.imgur.com/Jrl6LEg.jpg That bright orange thing under the...

Re: Little latch for the touch screen port broken

Possibly a non conductive clip of some sort. Clothe's pin maybe. If you're really good, or depending on the damage, you could maybe order a replacement clip from molex.com or from ebay, and do a flap-transplant. Is the only easy solution besides soldering on a new clip which takes professional tools...
