Moin Moin, Use the CN 2 connector to power the fan. The LattePanda needs in normal load out up to 1.6 Ah, be sure that the voltage do not drop below 5V. Moin Moin,
Transistor emitter connected to pin 10 of CN 1 ( don't check it). The 1.8V should be "off" if the LattePanda is off.

Short answer: No.
If I ou look at a Laptop battery you find more the 2 contacts. Some of this contact are responsible to tell Windows the status of the battery.
