Re: Latte-panda power supply problem

I have 2 USB power adaptors that supply 5v @2a but aren't good enough for the LP and that's without the extra power drain of the lcd screen. Take note that most mobile phone and cheap usb chargers that advertise 2a actually mean they peak at 2a, their nominal amp would be 1-6-1.8 which isn't enough....

Re: Fan

You can get a 3pin fan to USB adaptor (which is what I'm using).

Be careful with the voltage, you don't want to give it too much it you may cause damage. 5V is the minimum, however 5.25V is also safe.

As far as amps, you can use any provided that it's 2a minimum. I'd recommend 2.2a or more though.

Re: LattePanda: first impresion

I agree with you, the heat spreader in use simply isn't enough.
It wouldn't have been hard or much more expensive to either include a small fan or a copper heatsink as standard.

If you happen to live in a location where temperatures stay under 30c then you should be fine.

Re: WiFi Driver ?

I uploaded the drives directly from the windows install that the LP came with and people are getting the same error.
I'm not sure why, I never had an issue.

Re: LattePanda cooling mod

Simple answer, Yes. If the CPU gets very hot and thus throttle the speed you will see dropped frames in your video playback. These processors are designed to work at high temperatures, but if you live in a country that often gets 30c+ weather than sitting the LP on a fan and/or adding extra heatsink...

Some are trying to use windows OS other than 10 or they re-installed from their own disc/iso.

Re: How to Return Faulty Unit?

LattePanda Team wrote a message on the KS page saying they are trying to change the stigma that many have with Chinese companies and products. While I agree that a lot of quality devices come from china there is still a stigma. If LattePanda team wants to create a loyal customer base they will need ...

Re: Frozen on "Just a moment" for hours

It should be a completely automated process and I'd imagine the USB3.0 port would be it.
When you see a black screen, is the LED on your usb drive flashing...showing that it's doing anything?

Since I've never had to restore my LP I'm not completely sure what should be on the screen.

Re: Network Consistently disconnecting a reguar interval

The Pluggable site has a hub called 'PLUGABLE USB 3.0 7-PORT HUB WITH 25W POWER ADAPTER' but it can only offer 1.5a from any single port. Not enough to properly operate the LP.
