Re: com1 using

I find myself needing more serial ports than I originally thought. I am not that great with hardware but wondered if you knew are any of the headers a USB serial device? I found a USB to multiple serial board that would solve some of my issues. Was hoping there was a header I could attach it to vers...

Re: com1 using

Thanks, I opted to stop using COM1. which complicates my use as I went back to using a USB to serial converter
which blocks off a clean external interface off the back side of the panda when you talk about a case.
Have some thinking to do.

Re: com1 using

No but I will.
I know the U1 is a 1.8V but this all works fine after the panda boots. You would imagine I would have problems then
as well right?

Re: Wont boot if I have a GPS receiver tied to COM1

The GPS chip is powered from the LattePanda connector U2 pin 22 and pin 23
If I remove the jumper from GPS chip TX output that is connected to the U1 pin 5
the Panda starts fine.

Re: com1 using

I have a GPS chip connected to it and it seems to make the Panda hang on startup. I disconnect the receive and transmit and the Panda starts. Once windows has started I can reconnect the chip and EVERYTHING works. Go figure. I am wondering if there is any terminal stuff that occurs when you start th...

Wont boot if I have a GPS receiver tied to COM1

When I hooked up the Latte Panda to a GPS receiver on COM1 on header U1
the Latte Panda wont start.
If I hook up the GPS receiver after windows has started it boots just fine.

Is there something special about COM1 on header U1 that inteferes with startup?

Re: Understanding the connections to the Arduino

My Arduino goes from Com3 to Com6 . Open the adruino app compile a program once it's com 3 do some editing and the thing changes to com6 then it stays at com6 until you reboot the panda and it starts at com 3 again. Really annoying

Re: ROV (Submersible) Project Question

I am sure this can be done. You would need something on both sides to separate the data packets as video and controls. My suggestion is to open two ports send your control data down one and video down the other.

Can you boot from a hard drive?

Can you boot from a solid state or hard drive with the latte panda?
And how does the windows 10 license work?
Currently I am OUT of disk space just installing a few Visual Studio development tools.

Industrial rated boards.

Are there small foot print boards with I/O low power that have industrial temperature ratings?

Thanks,
