I have my LP 3 feet away from my router and I'm only getting 2 bars. I tried troubleshooting and it said my device is fine, but some DNS issues. Would that cause me to have weak signal? I also have the wifi connector placed inside the case as well. Should I leave it some place else?
I get the following issues
-Your computer appears to be configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding
-Problem with wireless adapter or access point
-The default gateway is not available.
[RESOLVED] weak wifi signal

I ran into the same trouble. Even worse. LP right next to router, only 1 bar signal. Problem was, as i found out, the small antenna connector was "clicked in", but not fully connected. After applying more pressure, it clicked a second time, this time stronger. And - boom - superfast internet access.
After moving my LP to the next room, I noticed that the signal was weaker than it sould be, but still good enough, so I didn't care. By accident I found out, that the orientation of the antenna is way more important than I thought: Trying to connect the audio jack, I tiltet the LP to the side... And the WiFi signal was back to near-perfect. Putting it back flat on the table, and the signal was weak again...
So, now my LP is lying on the left side and everything is okay.
As a sidenote: In my setup, the antenna is inside the plywood case, glued to the inside of the top-panel.

I had a similar problem with the Panda. The provided antenna is very very bad. I solved the problem with RP-SMA to uFL/u.FL/IPX/IPEX RF Adapter Cable and 2.4GHz 8dBi Indoor Desktop Antenna from TP-LINK (TL-ANT2408C). Now signal is much better (still not perfect but better than the provided antenna can ever provide).
