Uhh - bad. After an unsuccessful try to install win10 on my LPx64 now all I see is black screen.
Before: Out of box it would sit at "wait a moment" for ever, and in BIOS it read win8.1 so install win10 was indicated.. But it did boot and recognize USB ports. 5,6,7 tries to install win10 as per sound forums guides - no success. Tried default boot and auto boot, according to forums advise, and got stuck. One more try to boot from USB and show over. Now all that happens: Plug in proper power (has worked all past 3 days flawless) red constant and blue blinkung for maybe 3 to 5sec. then blue off, red remaining on.
Not booting, screen black, no access what'S how ever - nothing.
I observed that the USB stick's signal LED was blinking as it should previous 3 days when trying win10 install. Now, unfortunately I get one 200ms blink right aft power up and nothing else. To me it looks as if boot from USB no longer possible, prob not recognizing USB ports. But fix how?

Hope for some help to get this otherwise nice thing working for me.
    Thanks
    Krysz

BTW - I have some screenshots from failed win10 and some from usb boot, don't think these will help, but just let know.

    Hi

Why Windows 10 failed to install? How do you know that the PSU is ok if your LP never managed to boot up properly?

It seems that your LP is not failing to boot. If you cannot enter the BIOS there is not much you can do - unless the developers give us some ideas.

PS: the BIOS won't show Windows 10, only 8.1. It does not mean that Windows 10 is not supported.

hi tony, if you read properly, you learn that it did boot when first powered and only failed to boot after numerous attempts to install 10 proceeded by flashing bios successfully.
10 install was constantly interrupted by file not found after 6 to 52% success. eventually discontinued aft msg box.
ps is either 5V2A supplied with kit and large dia micro cable, my own. and real psu tti mx180T set at 5.00V and 2 to 3.3A. so all plenty, all sensed and true.

and btw - usually I find your posts helpful - not so here.
    cheers

His LattePanda has the same ending as mine - same behavior - no other than a brick.

I had an answer but they seem not to understand the issue well since they asked me to reinstall Windows 10 whereas I clearly stated no ports are powered on (no activity).

Just for your information, I pledged for 502SSD, a shield for RPI2/3 which adds a RTC, a temperature sensor, a mSATA SSD, a Wifi network an a USB hub. The first package I received had a defective PSU which damaged the shield. When I finally contact Pi2Design just to explain the situation - with no asking for anything, I had an immediate answer telling me the issue was known and already occurred 4 times for other backers and they will send me a new package. I received it in less than a week! and it works (it can read SSD, RTC, etc., and I also notice they changed the PSU).

You know what, LattePanda team really sucks compared to Pi2Design team.

Well, there are some very young kids with a very good idea. An idea that made me pledge I think $240 or more. Now I have unfortunately received a kit that doesn't do anything for me, except consume a good amount of my time trying to fix it to make me happy and work for me. That is indeed unfortunate and bothers some.
Now these kids have a good chance at making things right that have previously been not right.
I know for a fact that everyone on the LP team is working hard and didn't really see the demand and effort such project brings. But now they're in it, intense learning for them amidst all success.

It will be very interesting to see how they behave/respond on my issue, what steps they will take. A huge chance for them.

well, it's true the bad situation I had with the first package took a long time after I received it because I didn't test it until I decided to buy a cheap mSATA SSD and receive it. And I also wait for a long time until I decided to tell the situation to Pi2Design team - in fact, I did after having my LattePanda as a brick. So Pi2Design have probably a lot of time to deal with those situations now.

Since it looks my situation about LattePanda appears not to be an isolated case and can happen at any time - even for people having success with their LattePanda - I guess LattePanda team is living an horrible nightmare. Fine, I can give them more time to address the flaw but I hope they won't forget us and also find a solution to give us non-fatal (taht is, unbrickable) LattePanda one day because I seriously think the LattePanda I own has a major flaw.
