    Solved: see last post

ok so i did make a post yesterday and deleted it because i thought it got the install working however it looks like the board shutdown during the install and it corrupted it.

    Bulletpoint history:
    - installed windows update
    - came back and the board would load the lue windows screen with spinner and and then shutdown
    - blue light will flash a few times.
    - tried to use usb pen following instructions but wouldn't work.
    - tried all windows recovery options eventually got a reset to work wiping all files.

This brought me to the lattepanda screen with a spinner. A message would flash on the screen really fast but it had a percentage on it.
It was 44% when i last saw it and i went away for a bit and came back and it was off.

I was running software on this board and it has been on for 2 weeks so its not the power i have a quality plug and cable.

I tried to get back to the recovery manager but it just loads the blue screen then shutsdown.

If i try to install using the media creation on a usb will i be able to get the licence key somehow or do i need to reset my board using the built in functions?

Does anyone know why its not working?
How i can get the recovery window back?
How to prevent the reset and why it performs the reset?

    Hi there
Which kind of the board you are using with?Lattepanda 2/32 or 4/64? I guess the problem is cause by the power supply and power cable. Which is better to output 5V@2.5A

Sorry i was meant to add the board spec at the end of the post.

    2G 32G eMMC
I am using an apple wall plug which is 2.5A

Since i did the reset it no longer restarts it just keeps coming up with the "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected issue..."

I got into the UEFI once but i cant seem to bokt from it even disabling WBM.
I got in and tried ti run the Bootx64.efi which loaded a new windows screen but then reverted back to the install error.

My usb boot from lattepanda wont load as recommended by them.

If i get a windows boot usb will i be able to find the licence key or will it be lost?
Im reluctant to try anything else in case i lose my windows key.

Found a way into the efi on the exit screen in bios.

Now trying to open boot from the usb.
Ive tried loading bootmgr.efi from the lattepanda image downloaded from the site.

    It says unsupported

    Looks like i fixed it.
I risked it and got microsoft media tool installed on the usb.
Booted from that which wasn't easy...

During the install it failed a few times and said it had to restart which was weird.

After it loaded and the product key was reorganised so I'm happy with that.
Im just setting everything back up and if anything goes bad i will report back.

Otherwise the media creation tool from microsoft does fix the problem.
I will just be scared about running any windows updates from now on.

Ok so ive give it another go and it again started tripping.
It looks like the touch screen is causing it to trip but why?

I have the ldc and capacitive touchscreen.
It works plugged into my pc screen.

Connecting both lcd and touch trips it.

    Testing just LCD-OK

So the touch screen is doing something here, note it has worked fine for a month but 2 week continuously connected.
This all happend after i accepted a windows update so im confused at what the issue is.

Is my version of windows too new?
Has the touch screen become incompatible?
Does the touchscreen now require more power?
Note i tried samsung charger and its the same result.

I have it on now without the touch screen and its fine.
If i plug it in it trips.
    Any advice.

    I fixed the problem.
Cleaned the connector going into the board and installed the touch screen drivers as found on a post on this website.

It now works and there was an update windows 10 kept advertising to me and i clicked install and it installed successfully.

    Solution for reboot:
    ● Download windows 10 Media creation tool
    ● Enter bio by pressing escape on start up
    ● Change boot options to boot from USB
    ● Save and Exit
    ● Click install when the media creation tool loads
    ● Selection the windows 10 partition
    ● Do complete install
    ● Wait a long time
    ● follow windows 10 setup and then delete the windows backup files on the c drive.
    ● if your board reboots due to power trip connect to a powered monitor, or disconnect the touch screen.
    ● Install Touch screen drivers
