Hi,
I plan to start soon. First want to define the requirements and high level features and then implement each block.
Cheers
Krzysztof

You and I have/had the same road map in terms of energy requirements this little LP Beast needs! Only recently we've signed off the work that went on providing fully automated power management functions to the LP (and other SBC we have to work with occasionally).
Although this model below was specifically designed to accommodate the LP. Features include UPS, start-up and shutdown delays, battery energy consumption/rate & voltage monitoring, user-defined charging rates (0.5C~5C), can charge between 100mV~3000mV (also user-defined), circuit & battery protections, sleep mode, supported by a C# library for client side. Rated at 5A output, etc etc
Final product works off a LiPo 3.7V (single-cell). LP rocks on any battery between 1500mah up to 12,000mah!!! Let me know what you think.

WoW! This is very useful thing. Can you share sources and/or more details?GTC wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2018 6:49 pmYou and I have/had the same road map in terms of energy requirements this little LP Beast needs! Yup, pretty cool add-on for the LP, we couldn't be happier with the UPS and monitoring features. Our LP behaves more or less like a laptop/tablet at the moment!
OT; if there is any interest I could send out a few to DFR for re-sale along with the source code. We have 72 units in hands (I think/hope) but we need to keep roughly 50 for our customers (already sold). Therefore DFR could easily get something like 20~25 units right away to ship out to you folks. We could get more manufactured also... already have the pick & place program so these thing can go quick if needed

If LP team send us a dev board, we'll adapt it for the Alpha also! In whatever format they need it (i2C/APCI, Serial, MicroUSB, whatever the community fancy ~ we can do it). We are more than happy to get involved
