However, they said that "Ubuntu version will be released in 2 weeks..." 2 month ago.....
If they didn't say about it. nevermind...
They have to say something,,,, for example, we are not able to develop ubuntu version... Sorry....
I think that they developed new Alpha series, so they don't care about the old one.... so I am upset... SAY SOMETHING OFFICIALLY!!!

Enjoy Tinkering with LattePanda !

Today I completed my Dual Boot configuration of my LattePanda Alpha, I am now running the pre-configured Windows 10 alongside Ubuntu 18.04. For some reason I expected the worse, I added a 500Gb SSD to the M.2 slot, formatting 100gb as shared data NTFS leaving the remaining free. Following the dual boot steps in this post https://www.itzgeek.com/how-tos/linux/u ... -boot.html i walked through step by step mostly only changing the partition sizes.
The results... an extremely fast and responsive dual boot Panda Alpha. I have not tested the wifi or other extended board feature, but basic functionality, mouse, keyboard, graphics and network are working. I added a 3D printed case and so far i am impressed, time to start some software projects.

Just for fun I tried an 18.04 minimal install on a 2/32 and it failed miserably. The installer worked, but during the final install process I started getting CPU lockup issues and alerts from the watchdog e.g.:
Soft lockup CPU#1 stuck for 22s
It would happen to other CPU's as well.
For cooling in the time being, I had a table-top size fan pointed at the top of the unit.
I'm using a reliable power supply, a 2.5A 5V that was previously powering my raspberry pi.

BTW, 2.5A-5V (12.5W) seems waay too low for the alpha, the packed power supply is rated 45W.
edit: I just realized you weren't talking about the lattepanda alpha, sorry.
