I understand the alpha supports 4K at 30hz , and when I boot up I Display at 4k. But when I do gaming , I can’t do a thing because it’s so choppy for audio and video. I’ve also watched tutorials and persons said you need a USB-C Hub with Display port out in order to render 4k. I don’t use that setup and just use hdmi out. And as I said, it renders 4k to desktop. Does anyone know why it can’t process things in 4 like simple games , or why others say you Display port out for 4k?
Thanks.
4k capability?

Any idea why games are so choppy on Retropie and it just can’t handle it?
The way to read Intel (and many other companies) marketing material is as follows:
The IGPU (intel 615) is capable of supporting 4K monitor display refresh rate (up to) 60 Hz (if using DP interface), (under optimal condition.)
That statement probably can happily co-exist in a parallel universe with a computer game that is "capable" of doing 4K at 60 frame update rate.
In another word, LP Alpha does not come with a GTX2080 Ti w/ 6GB DDR5 memory dedicated graphics card.

Note SR2ZY's HDMI oput is HDMI 1.4a which is limited to 4096x2304 @24 Hz.
SR347's HDMI does support HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2.
These two S-Spec both support DP++ at 4K 60 Hz.
P.S. more detailed info on Intel Graphics HD 615

P.S. note that graphics IPGU is just an Intel HD615 and the CPU is a mobile processor,
talking about 4K @ 60 Hz is more or less just a mental exercise and that is all about it.
