64/4 LattePanda Ubuntu 16.04

Having problems booting with "no screens found" fatal error. My many searches lead me to a post mentioned a configuration file, 50-LattePanda-display.conf, in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d.

When I look in that folder, I have no such file. Is it required? Regardless, can someone share its default contents?

The "no screens found" error seems to be an ALL TOO COMMON problem for Lattepanda users.

After a strangely long shutdown, I receive a "no screens found" fatal error during boot.

This has happened at least 3 times before, each time being corrected on its own after four or five reboots.

This time, however, I've rebooted at least 25 times, and the display situation seems irrecoverable.

I have been able to eventually get to a graphical "guest" session after attempting and failing to enter a failsafe graphical session.

I have tried disabling the internal display and setting the Intel IGD as the primary display in BIOS with the same result.

After many searches and various configuration changes, I came across this linked post that mentioned a configuration file, 50-LattePanda-display.conf, in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d.

Again, when I look in that folder, I have no such file. Is it required? Regardless, can someone share its default contents?

Thanks.
