Streaming Cable, was intermitant, now doesnt work at all

I've had a streaming cable since the kickstart, when I first got it, it worked, then became more and more unreliable, no it doesnt get past Identifying...
Is there a way of trouble shooting this, or is it now just broken?
Latte alpha running win10, connecting from laptop running win10, and No Machine. Both laptop and panda just stay Identifying.
