Thanks, great, I was stuck with a "dead" USB port as well, and now it's all gone and I can use my 864s to its full potential again.

Yours seems to be the new BIOS version which took away the user option to disable USB port (which is good, avoid a common, very damaging user mistake).
All I can say is do a SAVE on BIOS and reboot. If USB2 still does not work on the middle port,
I would say it's the hardware problem on its USB2 part of D+ D- circuit.

What do you suggest as a hardware related change with D +, D- circuit.
this is my fear. (Be warned shipping cost is on your dime, )
