No need to update BIOS.
Just check (be careful, do not disable all USB ports; it's going to be very hard to change it back) the USB port setting.
Thanks, great, I was stuck with a "dead" USB port as well, and now it's all gone and I can use my 864s to its full potential again.

Yours seems to be the new BIOS version which took away the user option to disable USB port (which is good, avoid a common, very damaging user mistake).
All I can say is do a SAVE on BIOS and reboot. If USB2 still does not work on the middle port,
I would say it's the hardware problem on its USB2 part of D+ D- circuit.

thanks for the answer,
What do you suggest as a hardware related change with D +, D- circuit.

No idea. LP Alpha's schematic is proprietary.
The SMD parts used are so tiny and any amateur fix may cause more damages than what's intended help.

P.S. check contact Pins (the middle two) to see if they are bent/dirty.

Why does it fail one by one,
What should I do if my last remaining port is not reading usb2.0?

I had same problem had to send it back for warranty. Be warned shipping cost is on your dime, they will only reimburse a small amount and what they do reimburse is store credit only. I was not informed of that when I sent mine in

this is my fear. (Be warned shipping cost is on your dime, )
Therefore I cannot send ..
So what did they change? I myself do repairs here.

In fact, it is a serious chronic problem and the company has to fix it without waiting for a fee. because it is a product I bought for very high money.

is the problem with this integrated?
