Hi! This is Jose Miguel and this is my first post in the forum.
I am interested in the Lattepanda Alpha 864 as a digital I2S audio transport. So, would it be possible to use the I2S GPIO output to connect an I2S input audio device?

Thank you very much in advance!
JM

Nobody has tested the GPIO I2S output?

Please be forewarned that I2S codec interface is different IC specific and lots of work involved.
There seems to be BIOS, machine-specific device driver, ALSA driver, etc. all needs to be tuned
as well as hardware signal interface voltage level needs to be correct.

I.e., unless there is a significant interest on a specific audio codec and few people willing to spend time on the project,
it will be a uphill battle.
This is why people pick a field-proven (high end) USB based audio codec module to get around lots of work.
