LattePanda v1 - declare PIN analogue as digital not working

Hello,

Ran out of digital pins - D13 not suitable as I do not want to remove LED to use it as digital I/O - so tried to declare anlogue pins as digital, as it should be possible according to the attached pin out diagram - tried it on example A0-A3 -> D14-D16, but unsuccessful.
Any help highly appreciated.
