Bios Reset CR200 z8350 (4GB+64GB)

I'm new to Lattepanda. I recently purchased the enhanced version CR200 z8350 (4GB+64GB) with 10.1" 1200 x 1920 IPS Display for LattePanda.
My question is do I need to Bios reset in order to use the display? When I first plugged it in, nothing was showing on the screen. From github there is mention that the bios version is in Beta, is this still the case? I'm guessing my board is at v1.2.
Given the dates of the post I'm a little concerned that I have an official product that may require me to void my warranty just to use it.
