Hello, :D
someone still continues with this project?
I come from previous experiences of CarPC and now I want to replace the one I have with this ;) , as far as the switching on and off I solved very easily, taking advantage of the power that I already have in my old CarPC I want to replace with the LP 4G / 64Gb to reduce the size ...
the PC has been this:
1) HDMI Lilliput touchscreen
2) Automitive ATX Power supply whit ignition sense and mainboard power switch for auto power on / off
3) Intel Celeron 2020 CPU, 4 GB of RAM, SSD 64GB SATA
4) Can-bus USB interface to the steering wheel
5) USB GPS, Navigator Program
6) Bluetooth Handsfree
7) Centrafuse fronted
8) OBD interface

I have some doubts:

1) There is the possibility to have, in addition to a red LED that indicates the activity (type HDD LED)?

2) does anyone know if you can speed up the post bios to jump start?

3) with my monitor when I turn on the LP I do not see anything until Windows did not start, so I see all the startup and do not understand if there are errors or not, but if I use the TV I see everything perfectly  :o :? . Has anyone had the same problem?

4) Does anyone know how to externally bring the power and reset buttons without having to solder on the pads of the card directly? Weld would not be a problem but I would avoid, the card and new.

PS I apologize for my bad English, but I'm Italian.

Unlikely, but I can add as a feature request for the next version

Unlikely

You could try disabling HDMI output in the BIOS

It is possible to desolder them and extend them off the board with some kynar wire but it is fiddly and high risk. As a feature request for the next version I will add external header pins for power and reset. Whether the team agrees with this is a different matter!

Greetings to all! I independently manufacture such a power distributor for use in cars. It has 4 separate channels. One channel with output voltage, both on the machine's battery (12-15V), 3 channels adjustable in the voltage range of 2-11V and with a load current of up to 2.5A each. The unit design uses powerful smart switches and a controller to control the delays in switching on and off channels. The voltage on the battery is constantly monitored - when lowering below 11.5V the system will softly finish the operation. The system is not afraid of a sharp decrease in the voltage at the input (torsion with a starter does not affect the operation of the unit). LP control by pressing the power button (you need to solder two wires in parallel to the power button). Below is an approximate algorithm for the operation of the unit:
They switched on the ACC: (if the battery is charged and the voltage is at least 12.0V)

-After 1 sec. All channels were switched on:
XP0 (voltage is always the same as on the battery)
 XP1 (computer power + 5.2V)
 ХР2 (+ 5.2В)
 ХР3 (+ 5.2В)
After another 1 second "push" button on / off. Computer
ХР10-ХР11 (button on / off the computer)

Turned off the ACC:

- after 8 seconds:
"Press" the on / off button. Computer power supply
ХР10-ХР11 (button on / off the computer)
Even after 1 second channels are turned off
 ХР2 (+ 5.2В)
 ХР3 (+ 5.2В)
Even after 2 seconds.
XP0 (voltage is always the same as on the battery)
Channel XP1 (computer power) works
And turns off after 36 hours or if during this time
The battery will discharge to 11.6V

Possible situation: (ACC-enabled computer and
Peripherals work-engine not running
- on the battery charging from the generator does not go-
The battery is discharged to 11.6V)
- ALL channels are turned off after 4 seconds.

- if you remove the ignition key, the system is completely
The power is de-energized and the system can be restarted if
The battery will recover to 12.0V
(Start the car and allow the battery to recharge).

All modes are programmed as desired during manufacture.

good evening....
After a while of absence I am here to ask for information to you ....
I have a LP 4G + 64GB that I decided to fit in to make a CarPc but I have some problems ....
The first and bios state, after changing the settings, the LP had the notorious red led resolved with chip BIOS refresh, but then I got a 2.0 hub malfunctioning, which only worked on port 3.0
After several searches I was about to send the card back but I noticed that if I powered the 2.0 ports started to work, I came up with a +5 Vdc wire connection on the doors.
During the installation of S.O. I still have an error on the wifi card .... I ask someone, but can it be a power problem?

Good evening at all ....
Modifying the wire to power usb 2.0 ports seems to work excellently :D :D
Fixed all issues with drivers and configurations but now I have another problem   ... I have to configure bluetooth using software bluesoleil.
I tried all available ports but no one connects :o :o :o :o   :o , can you tell me how to configure it?
If I use a bluetooth usb it all works.
If I do not use this program, I can not use the handsfree for my cell phone.
Thank you ;)

The tracker has no beeper or speaker that makes sound itself. Have you had the car thoroughly checked for other devices?

You could get a voltage sensor for the board and have it set to send shutdown or sleep on acc power loss. I am sure you can find it on Google. I am not good at writing scripts otherwise could have one for ya

I believe your making this more difficult that it should be.
1) find constant power soure.
2) use the arduino to detect ignition switch on or off.
3)use the sw pins on the board to the arduino to trigger when car is on or off.

that way when you shut the car off there you can program a delay to shut the computer down.
