LattePanda 2G/32GB with 10" Display

We want to setup a bunch of LattePanda 2G/32GB (DFR0418) to use with 10.1“ IPS Display (FIT0515). Can someone confirm that we have to refresh the BIOS as explained in this link?

It says that this is a beta version from 2017 so I wanted to double-check.
