As first I think it is impossible to fulfill all wishes in one product. Perhaps you should divide the product line into private and professional customers.
I am writing here now as a professional development engineer. I develop devices with a lot size of nearly 1000 units per year. That is not enough for an own design but we need the flexibility of a small single PCB like the LattePanda.
What we need additional :
LCD : For the maximum flexibility of LCD sizes a 24Bit-RGB connector. As a pin connector, not FPC. Also pin connector for I2C touch. Capacity touch, not resistance.
5 & 10 inch LCD with your connector and touch option and mounting frame for all sizes
At least one free COM-Port, selectable as RS232 or RS485
Power : Configurable power system. If LiPo battery connected with charge option.
Selectable behavior at
Power On (connecting main power) :
- do nothing and wait for button
- start automatic
Power Off :
- LiPo-Power for shutting down windows and PCB in a few seconds
- or still running vom battery like a Laptop.
Own power regulator with wide range of input voltage 7V < Vin < 26V (12V and 24V are standards) and input filters.
Configurable Boot-Logo and fast as possible showing this Logo at Power on ( < 200ms).
Pin-Connector (flat cable!) for Buttons and signaling LEDs for power sequence. With external power LEDs no need for fast boot logo
Valid Win10-Licence für bigger systems. I dont want to struggle with Microsoft... you can do this for me.
Audio amplifier with a little bit more power for external speakers, not headphones. But Mono would be enough for us.
Maybe a connector for a microphone ?

All connectors with same height (for additional PCBs) and we prefer 0,1inch spacing
LAN : Additional connector with the signals of LAN-LEDs. In most devices you need the PC (with LCD) at the front, but the LAN connector at the rear. You can use some LAN extension, but the signs of the LAN LEDs are lost.

What I not need :
More processor power. If it can play some videos and do some easy calculation für controlling my devices its enough. At the moment its enough processor power.
Sorry, but : The Arduino. At the first moment I thought it is a great idea to have a separate microcontroller onboard. But now I again prefer my own controllers on my own PCBs.
