Any chance UNIDUINO plugin for Unity to work ?

i develop in unity3d and i considered buying this plugin for some time now. (while working on a Arduino uno via usb)

Since the AtMega on the LattePanda is not connected via usb but directely on the board is there a chance this plugin can communicate properly from Windows10 on the panda to the AtMega on the pandaBoard ?
I know it might be difficult to answer though
