I have been tinkering with the lattepanda Alpha for a few weeks and am quite pleased so far. I was excited to find out one can connect an external gpu to the m.2 slot, my only concern is that the gpu I would like to use was scavenged from an old gaming laptop (gtx880m) while the gpu is quite capable it does not have an external video output of any kind . Is there a way to pass the video output from the gtx through to the hdmi output on the lattepanda alpha?

It appears that you are talking about a GPU that is using MXM connector.
MXM is such a special beast you'll have to find a motherboard that natively supports it.
BTW, AFAIK, there is no adapter to convert a MXM GPU board to something that is a standard in any shape and form.

At best, if it's an Nvidia card, CUDA might help your latte gain a bit more performance.
Yours is a mobile chip, so you might need the original mobile drivers that came with the laptop you got the card with; and running the same OS as well...

I thought there must have been some sort of adaptor to convert the pcie port on the alpha to a pcie 1x slot, and go from a 1x slot to a 16x slot riser, to the gpu?
