Hey everyone,
I am currently working on developing a custom game console (for fun). Im trying to find the best way to have a separate power on/off button and reset button that shutdown the device/reset it without harming the OS. Think something like a GameCube power on/off + reset button, except software friendly.
What would you suggest? One person mentioned using ARDUINO. I am new to the IOT SBC world and could use some help/suggestions.

Hey guys,
Just following up on this. I'm rather new to this and could use the help. I've attached a flowchart that describes the functions of what we want.
We've got the power running correctly. Although, we're wondering if there is a way to change the function of the button. Currently, you need to press and hold for a few seconds to boot the device up. Can this be changed?
For the Reset, I believe it just hard-resets the device. Is there a way to instead have it issue a restart similar to clicking reset in Windows?
