[DEFECTIVE] onboard display and red light on (no boot/post)

I just received my new LattePanda 4GB/64eMMC board and powered it using a USB cable connected to one of my PC's usb port. I am getting a distorted screen full of striped lines across the display. I am not sure what needs to be done. Can someone help?
