Problem starting up

Hi guys,

this might be a "blonde" question, but Im struggling to make my LP work.
I've bought the one with 4GB Ram, and without windows licence.

So I've basically plugged it in the power supply, plugged in HDMI , hold the power button, the red led lights up for a second and...nothing.
No signal on HDMI, nothing happening.
Am I doing something wrong ? How to set this up properly for a noob ?
