I'm completely new to this world and very interested in developing some IoT applications.
If I've well understood, Visual Studio 2015 can be used to call Arduino APIs in order to read/send data from/to the Arduino side. So, if I want to build up an IoT application, I have to use Visual Studio and not to write an Arduino Sketch. Right?
If so, which language could I use? Visual Basic, C# ... and I would achieve a .exe application file. But, could I use JS as well, and then produce a web application?
Sorry for all these questions. Help would be very appreciated.
