Forum registration bug

What currently happens:

When creating a new account on this website, you are asked for a username and email address. You then get an email with those same details. But where is the password?

What should happen:

a) Either ask user for a password during sign-up

or

b) Have a link in the registration email which, when clicked, takes user to website page asking them to set a password

or

c) Auto-generate a password and include it in confirmation email

Temporary workaround:

Create an account and then use the 'forgot password' feature to set your password.
