LattePanda Sometimes Doesn't Display Boot Splash

I have a 2GB/32GB LP running Linux. Has anyone noticed that sometimes after power cycling the LP that the lights all come on, but nothing ever shows on the display, and the system never boots? When this happens, we never see the LP logo on boot, the blue arduino light and red power light are solid on as normal.
These are powered through the same 5V/2A power supply sold by DFRobot.
This is making it really difficult to see if we should use LP in our product. Any insight would be appreciated.
