Boot from µSD

is it possible to boot the LattePanda from a micro-SD-Card?
If so, what steps are necessary to do so?
I just tried inserting a bootable card into the card reader but found no option in the BIOS' boot menu to choose from.
That's the standard BIOS that came with my OS-less 2g/32g LattePanda; I want to run a special embedded operating system* on it.
That's a 32-Bit OS, do I need to replace the BIOS for it?
