Linux headless server won't boot without HDMI attached

I am running Linux (Ubuntu Server v18) and the LattePanda 2G/32G will not boot without having a monitor plugged into the HDMI port. Sometimes a Bios will have a setting which will enable this "video device attached check" to be disabled, therefore allowing a device to boot without a monitor attached.
How do you allow a Linux headless server to boot without HDMI attached please?
