[DEFECTIVE] ethernet socket doesn't work

Question

Dear
when I plug a cable in the ethernet socket nothing happen. I put the same cable in other device the led from my switch turn on.

On windows I have message that cable is not connected ?

The cable is good : I tried 3 of them that all are working on other device ...

It seem to be a hardware trouble... what do you think ?

I did it.
the pins are straight as shown in the picture attached and seem to be without trouble Attachments

Use a flashlight to shine into the Ethernet receptacle to check if these 8 springie (gold-colored) contact pins are straight and parallel to themselves.
If not aligned, you can use a strong toothpick to compress-n-move the pin(s).
