How can I disable the HD text in Ubuntu Server 18.04?

In Ubuntu Server 18.04, the on-screen text is in HD, compared to the text in the BIOS settings. I want to disable it to have the "retro" DOS-like look and feel. How can I disable it and get the large, pixelated text like the text from the BIOS settings?
