Do the 4 performance cores maintain their ability to perform hyperthreading(the Yes) and the 8 efficiency cores have hyperthreading disabled(the disabled)?

Since getting this snap I have had a pink screen error happen when working in a ubuntu vm. turned it off and when booting back up I verified the settings were correct from the ESXi install guide. tried again to launch that ubuntu vm and again pink screen when loading up. turned it off and on again. Third time's the charm, I was able to load back into the ubuntu vm but all my previous progress from setting it up in the beginning was gone as I was presented with a first-time boot installer guide.
