How will Linux integrate with the new NPUs?

Obviously a lot chatter about the new NPUs in the Intel chips this year and windows certainly is going full steam ahead integrating them into the OS. However, haven’t seen a whole lot of discussion about how Linux may work with them? Or will it be solely be up to the app developers to build their apps with AI in mind?

Just curious on your thoughts around them.
