Adding M.2 PCIe SATA getting error port 4 device presence detected but phy not ready TFD=0x89

Been trying to expand my Lattepanda 3 Delta to a NAS and purchased a M Key M.2 Sata card.

After loading the bios and just before it boots into the OS, it hangs with this error message right across the top left of the screen

port 4 device presence detected but phy not ready TFD=0x89

Any clues on this guys?
