    hello,

i am having crazy trouble with my LattePanda ever since i got it. have heatsinks and the powered cooler (from dfrobot) installed and am running it off of a 2.1A usb-connector.

the device constantly shuts off, it's so slow that i can't even open an application (have been trying to run max 7... this worked only once or twice after loading for more than a minute, most of the time it doesn't even react when double-click the icon). CPU spikes (to ~30-50%) already when i open window's start-menu ... i have no clue what's going on.

    is this stuff normal?!
    thanks!

it sounds like you may be experiencing a power-dropout.. Try finding a more powerful 2.5+Amp 5VDC power supply. I'm using an Asus Transformer Prime AC power adapter, and a USB 2 powered hub rated at 2.61A.

    I hope this information helps!:)

so – after getting my AUKEY PA-T9-DE 3.0A powersupply today, the problems persists. random crashes and extremely slow execution of commands. just tried to install teamviewer and launching the installation app takes 2 minutes. starting max 7 takes around 70 seconds (until the icons even appear in the taskbar).

any clue what i can do? i'm starting to think i may have a faulty device.

what also wonders me: in my system information i am shown my latte panda as a "Intel Atom(TM) x5-z8300 CPU @ 1.44Ghz" ... i how ever think that i should be having the "Intel Cherry Trail Quad Core 1.8 Ghz" processor ... what's going on?

    thanks!

Did you check CPU temperatures and process load?

Yeah, same here. I've been posting on Kickstarter and forum on several occasions with regards to the super-slow performance of my unit.

I'm powering it from a 3 AMP charger. I've disabled everything I could in OS and BIOS that I could throttle CPU performance. I've been trying to actively cool it down with an external fan. I've updated the firmware and reinstalled Windows from most up-to-date images.

Nothing worked and I still haven't receive a solid advice on the issue resolution from the creators. Seems like this happens for some users, as all online benchmarks say they were able to smoothly playback 1080p YouTube videos (no happening on my device).

yes it should be possible to do this quite easily. hard to diagnose the cause from afar but it sounds like a faulty unit. you are welcome to exchange if you wish.
