7" touch screen resolution issue

Just received my Alpha together with the Win10 bundle and 7" touch screen. Connected all up and was hopeful to have everything working smoothly, but the Windows forces a resolution of 1024 x 768 for the touch screen (when it is in fact 1024 x 600). This means that the touch screen shows only part of the Win 10 screen.

Anyone else having this issue, and any suggested actions to fix this? I already updated the Intel graphics driver to the latest one and tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling with no avail.
